LIZZ ASTON b. 1983
Lives and works in Toronto & Vancouver, Canada
Lizz Aston is a textile artist, educator and human-centred designer. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Crafts & Design from Sheridan College, and a BDes in Industrial Design from OCAD University. She is an alumna of the Craft & Design Artist-in-Residence Program at Harbourfront Centre (2009-2012), and is an acting Textile Studio Advisor to the program. Aston has been commissioned public artworks for Google, Harvard Kennedy School, Holt Renfrew, General Catalyst and Lululemon and has worked on sponsored projects with H&M Canada, the City of Toronto, 3M and the Japanese Paper Place. Her work is represented in public and private collections and has been exhibited across Canada, the USA, Australia and South Korea. She teaches as a Sessional Instructor in the Crafts & Design program at Sheridan College, and Material Art & Design Program (Textiles) at OCAD University. Aston's work is represented by La Guilde, Montreal, QC; Caviar20, Toronto, ON; and Boston Art Inc. Boston, MA. USA.
